Every commission moves through six distinct stages. We take our time at each one — the work, and the relationship, are better for it.
01
A first call about your space, how you live in it, and the piece you have in mind. No agenda. Just a slow read and introduction. 15–30 minutes.
02
When the project warrants it, we come to your space. We measure, photograph, and listen. The room often tells us as much as you do. Standard for furniture; optional for smaller pieces.
03
We come back with two or three concepts — different directions for the same brief. None of them are final. The point is to give you something specific to react to, and to let your room talk back. On location. Most clients find this is where they discover what they actually want. Two to three weeks after the visit.
04
Once you've chosen a direction, we write up the formal proposal — final dimensions, materials, finishes, timeline, and the number. You'll see exactly what we're proposing before any commitment is made. One week.
05
Once approved, your piece moves into the studio. We share progress photos at key milestones if you'd like to see the work underway. Four to twelve weeks for furniture, varies with the piece.
06
Delivery, placement, and a care guide for the first year. We check in at twelve months. After that, you have a friend in the studio for as long as the piece lives in your home.
